Change can feel big — especially when it involves a crafting essential like ink.
Here’s a clear breakdown of what’s happening and when.
2026: Introduction Phase
- The 2026–2028 In Colors will debut in the new magnetic felt ink pads.
- Existing core colors will remain in the current style.
This gives us all a chance to try the new design without needing to replace our entire ink collection.
2027: Full Color Transition
- All ink colors will transition to the new magnetic felt pad design.
- The previous foam-style pads will be available while supplies last.
Again — there is no rush.
Your current ink pads will not suddenly stop working. This is simply a phased upgrade.
Pricing
New magnetic ink pads will be priced at:
- $14 per pad
- $63 for the 5-color In Color bundle
Several factors contribute to the updated pricing, including materials used in the magnetic case and manufacturing considerations.
Why This Matters for Paper Crafters
This update is designed to deliver:
- Long-term ink stability
- Consistent stamping results
- Cleaner impressions
- Stackable, organized storage
- Fewer refills
For card makers, scrapbookers, and stamp enthusiasts, ink quality affects every single project. Investing in reliable ink pads helps ensure professional-looking results whether you’re making handmade greeting cards, memory albums, or DIY gifts.
