You were born to be real…

Quote - You were born to be real...

I was talking to a friend the other night, part of our conversation included, we were born to be real, not perfect. I will be the first to admit that I am far from perfect! I have never claimed to be perfect, never will claim to be, and most definitely don’t want to be perfect.

We are here to be our own individual selves. We are here to stand on our own two feet, to accept our own flaws, and just to be who we are. Oh sure, the majority of us could make a long list of things that we do not like or would love to change about ourselves. For example…

  • too fat or too skinny
  • too short or too tall
  • straight hair wants curly, curly hair wants straight
  • nose too small or too big
  • feet too big or too small
  • …and the list goes on from there.

I know that you can probably add many more items to that list that we all see in ourselves. As a matter of fact, go ahead and leave a comment below adding to the list.

This is also true in the rubber stamping and paper crafting world, which leads me to finished hand-stamped projects. The tip here is that your project do not have to be perfect. You are not a machine that has been programmed with precise specification to output the same project each and every time you create it. Hence the word “hand-stamped”, not machine stamped. We are human, we are who we are. Those little flaws on our projects make it real, make it personal, and make it special.

You do not need to live up to anyone else’s specification whether it is in your life or in your paper crafting. You were born to be real, born to be you!
