Question: What type of birthday card do you make for someone that has a birthday near Christmas?
Answer: What a great question. My answer is anything non-Christmas related.
I, as I am sure many of you too, have friends and/or family that have a birthday in not only in December but near Christmas. I go total opposite of Christmas when creating birthday cards for the ones that I know that fall into this category. Today, I am sharing a card that I recently created for one of these December babies. First, I pick a fun stamp set that I love working with. Second, I stay away from all the traditional reds, greens, and blues.
I make sure the recipient knows that it is not a Christmas card when they receive it. As with this sample, I added the same type of shell on the bottom left corner of the envelope. Sometime I stamp the image(s) on the back flap of the envelope. If the occasion calls for it, I may do both the front and the back of the envelope. I don’t think anyone would mistake this envelope with the shell on front for a Christmas card, do you?
I almost always take an element that I use on the front of the card and use it also on the inside of the card. Have fun on the inside of your cards too.
Let me know what you think about this card, if it is a great December birthday card by leaving comment.
