    Keeping Memories Alive

Have you ever thought about how many different ways there are for keeping our memories alive? The answer is there are countless ways. In my opinion, “we” have gotten away from the real heartfelt manner of capturing our lives…like when I was a child…scrapbooking.

Today, it seems like many people have captured it by saving photos to their phone or a computer. They just flip through photos on their phones or computers to remember events or to show a photo for a friend or family.

I too have been guilty of this, and my fear of this kind of record keeping is phones can get lost or even black out. Also, photos can accidentally get “deleted”! Both of these have actually happy to me and I have lost countless photos.

However, the “old fashioned” way… having an actual photo…I have many photos in a box or two that I have had for years! My hope is that there will be a shift to go back to photos on paper…scrapbooks. One of the main reasons is that “Scrabpooks” can be easily passed down from generation to generation.

My mother scrapbooked my life from birth to when I graduated from high school. She did it in a chronological order. Let’s talk about ways to scrapbook.

    Ways to scrapbook…

    • Chronological order
    • Themed
    • Pocket
    • Traditional Photo Albums
    • Mini Albums

Those are just a few ways that you can scrapbook. The important thing is to do it, record those special moments in your life, share them.
